How to store and keep high-temperature wires?
High-temperature wire refers to the common high-temperature electrical wire, with a working temperature ranging from -80 degrees to about 250 degrees Celsius. It is made of solid or stranded silver-plated or nickel-plated copper wire, mainly consisting of a conductor and an insulating layer, where the insulator is made of PFA Teflon. When using high-temperature wires, storage and keeping will definitely be involved. So how should high-temperature wires be stored and kept? Let's learn about it together.
High-temperature wires are very sensitive to moisture. Once they get wet, it is difficult to dry them out. Even if the moisture is dried, it can negatively affect the high-temperature wire and pose safety hazards. So how can we prevent high-temperature wires from getting wet?
1. Ensure proper sealing. For the cut ends of the cable, use special sealing sleeves for cables to prevent moisture from entering.
2. After laying the high-temperature wire, promptly manufacture the cable ends to prevent moisture from entering through the ends.
3. Strengthen the manufacturing process of the cable ends. If the cable gets wet, well-manufactured wire ends can extend the overall lifespan of the cable.
4. When storing, use branch boxes to store high-temperature wires in segments, preventing them from spreading to other segments.
Next, let's understand how to properly store high-temperature wires:
1. Do not allow contact with acids, bases, and mineral oils; they should be stored separately from these corrosive substances.
2. During storage, high-temperature wires should be rolled regularly. When rolling, the bottom side should be facing up to avoid moisture and decay on the bottom surface. Regularly check if the ends are intact.
3. Avoid storing high-temperature wires exposed outdoors as much as possible.
4. The storage room for high-temperature wires must not contain harmful gases that can damage insulation or corrode metals.
5. The storage period for high-temperature wires is limited to the product's manufacturing date, generally not exceeding one and a half years, and not more than two years, depending on the product's usage instructions.
